How is the game scored?

Touchdown – (6 Points) – a touchdown occurs when the ball crosses the goal line.  It can be carried into the end zone or thrown to a player already in the end zone.

Extra Point – (1 point) – After a team scores a touchdown; they have the option of kicking an extra point.  The extra point is successful when the offensive team kicks the ball thru the goal posts.

Two-Point Conversion (2 Points) - After scoring a touchdown, the offensive team has the option of attempting a two point conversion rather than kicking an extra point.  The two point conversion is successful under the same conditions as a touchdown.
Field Goal (Three Points) – A field goal happens when the offensive team kicks the ball thru the opposition’s goal post without the team previously scoring a touchdown. Safety- (2 points) – A safety happens when an offensive player is tackled behind this own goal line.
